For the territories The Netherlands & UK we search for an entrepreneurial Regional Sales Manager.

Your role

You will be responsible for developing the business of customized irrigation solutions and ensure the growth of Rivulis in the important territories The Netherlands & UK. In order to succeed, you build an intensive relationship with the existing distributors / installers network of Rivulis and support them. Furthermore you search for new opportunities to gain marketshare and cope with the complexity of this business. You work closely together with your international sales colleagues, product management, marketing and logistic department. You have a good understanding of the irrigation solutions for different soils and crops under alternating circumstances.

Activities  & Responsiblilties

  • Personal responsibility for meeting the business targets: sales, profitability, cash flow, growth;
  • Utilize the company’s sales supporting professional functions all along (including customer sales service, technical support, marketing and supply chain) by effective management and task assignments to boost business performance and regional sales;
  • Comprehensive integrative supervision from project identification, entering negotiations, proposal offering and follow up, finalizing deals, supporting implementation, and providing regular after-sales-service and support;
  • Consistently increase the circle of key end users in the market;
  • Partnership and involvement in setting the sales and profitability goals; creating a work plan that supports relevant business goals and plan execution; and ongoing reporting of performance results;
  • Manage business development leads in the region, mapping and spotting potential customers, key end users and maximizing sales.

Job requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience with sales & market development activities;
  • Commercial / sales experience in horticulture / agriculture in Netherlands;
  • Irrigation experience as user, distributor, installer, manufacturer is a pre;
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree level in Horti-, Agriculture (e.g. Irrigation) or Business Administration;
  • Negotiation skills and experience in a complex market situation;
  • Strong commercial, entrepreneurial and business orientation;
  • You are self-starter, flexible, autonomous, dynamic, pragmatic and have the ability to handle stressful situations;
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills;
  • Excellent understanding of English and Dutch language; German or French language will be a plus;
  • Business usage of Pack Office and communication tools;
  • Willingness to travel frequently in your territory as well as 2-3 visits per year to the European offices in France or Spain.
