Corvus Drones develops, supplies and maintains drones for monitoring crop growth and health in greenhouse horticulture worldwide. They work with 10 enthusiastic colleagues on their mission to digitize every plant, in every greenhouse around the world. Their service is extreme innovative and high-tech. They offer it as Drone as a Service (DaaS) so that user-friendliness is number one. Corvus Drones is located at the Roots innovation hub in Ede. They love drones and are happy to share their enthusiasm about the value of plant information with growers and breeders all over the world.
Due to the continuous growth of the company and to strengthen the sales team, we are looking for a Business Manager.

Your role and responsibilities

• Expanding a successful order book, from identifying accounts to closing the deal;
• Closing B2B Drone as a Service (DaaS) agreements with greenhouse horticulture companies and breeders;
• Developing and maintaining constructive cooperative relationships with potential customers and clients in (Greenhouse) horticulture worldwide;
• Contact and visit potential and existing accounts to better understanding and anticipating their business;
• Participate in open days, trade fairs, etc.;
• Sharing the latest market developments with colleagues; you ensure that the development team knows what is going on in the market.

Experience and Competencies

• Working experience and network in (greenhouse) horticulture;
• 2-5 years of sales experience in a similar position. Motivated sales talents with limited or more experience are very welcome to apply too;
• Experience with sales of technical services or data applications is an advantage;
• BSc or Msc level, for example direction Commercial Economics or Plant Science;
• Excellent command of the English and Dutch language;
• Willingness to travel internationally.

• Commercial (“consulting selling”) and entrepreneurial skills; closing deals;
• Project management skills, analytical qualities and innovative “thinking”;
• Creativity to tap into new markets and utilize plant data;
• Able to transfer the unique “buying reasons” of the Corvus Drones services;
• Self-starting, autonomous and pragmatic;
• Cooperating, listening and self-reflection with humor.
